We’re excited to introduced a new weekly feature on the Hungry Kid: from Pin to Plate!
Each week on the Hungry Kid we’ll introduce a top pinterest recipe and provide a shopping list for your next run to the grocery. Should the recipe sound yummie (perhaps it’s something you’ve had pinned for months!) whip it up sometime before Friday. Make changes to seasoning? Overhaul the recipe completely? Write the changes down!
What did your hungry kids think? Poll your family–is the recipe a ‘make again? A new family favorite? Or, was it a total flop? We’ll review recipes on Friday, our chat won’t be the same without you!

Shopping List (serves family of 4):
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1-8 oz pkg of cream cheese
- 1 bunch scallion
- 8 pieces bacon
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 2 large Tomatoes chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic diced
- handful of fresh Basil leaves diced
- 4-6 small Zucchinis sliced
- 3 Bell peppers chopped
- 3/4 cup Swiss or cheddar

- sea salt
- cayenne pepper
