I’ll let you in on a little secret. I do not like to bake. More specifically, I don’t like to make desserts.
I have this girlfriend–desserts are her jam. Completely. Whenever we go to her home, she has a full-on dessert bar. Picture in your mind a brunch-sized dessert buffet. But, at your girlfriend’s house. On a Tuesday.
This is not, and shall not be me. I make a mean chocolate chip cookie and better yet, I have the number of an excellent bake shop saved in my cell.
Know your strengths, I say.
However, on occasion (and to my dismay), every women will be called upon to muster up a dessert. When this time comes this fresh fruit pie–for which I had to marry my sweet husband to receive the recipe–never disappoints.
